  April a quiet time. ..weather was good the lake amazing lots to see.

  Arrived at 1.30pm to check in, reception was unattended so we had to ring the bell. We waited. When the door finally opened, there wasn't even a hello, very unfriendly. Room was okay but very outdated; holes in curtains which couldn't be opened fully to allow light in or views as there was no 2nd curtain (lace) for the extra privacy (windows did have tinting); a/c was extremely noisy making it hard to sleep through the night; wi-fi wasn't free as advertised; on check out reception was unattended (not surprised) and we never got an answer from ringing the bell. Others were also there waiting. Poor customer service.

  Enjoyable stay, beautiful views from the room, quiet location close to Lake Bonney. Fishing could be better...no shade on lake shore.

  The only plus's to the stay was the location the views and walking distance to the yummy Bonney View (bakery). We will never stay there again and will be selecting a different place to stay when we return to Barmera next time.

  Be aware that security is at a minimum and that the owner's insurance does not cover personal belongings. We and the room next door got broken into while we were out to dinner. The motel's emergency phone was unattended. The owner didn't even bother to contact us when he found out the next day that guests of his had been burgled. No compensation, no apology. Never again will we stay there.

  The rooms were pretty good but the fact they you have to go to reception to get cutlery or plates was a bit of a problem, especially when there quite often isn't someone in the office. The same was true when checking out.
